The characteristics contributed by each of the 5 different woods and the use of distilled Japanese new make spirit (aged exclusively by Kaiyo), gives Kaiyo 5 Wood its balance and uniqueness.

The difficult process of blending 5 Wood involves carefully selecting and marrying whiskies that have been aged in different cask types, creating a harmonious and balanced final whisky. This technique allows the blender to create a whisky with a wide range of flavor profiles, combining the influences of multiple cask types. The resulting whisky is a complex interplay of fruity, spicy, oaky, and sweet notes, offering a unique tasting experience.
