VAUGHN DUFFY OLD RIVER RED WINE NORTH COAST 2019

Our Red Blend drew inspiration from grape varieties with a long history in California. Zinfandel, Carignane, and Petite Sirah have all been characterized as both workhorses or blending enhancers over the years. And while they make unique wines when standing alone, they rock and roll when they are all jamming together. The Carignane is the soul of this blend, providing fruit, spice, and structure to the wine. The Zinfandel’s red berry fruit flavors and silky tannins keep things round and mellow. And the Petite Sirah provides color and structure for depth and long-term aging.
